MO2 is barely more painful to get setup than NMM but so much better in the long run. I do this instead of running through the tutorial every time I want to test a new mod. You will be transported with a generic character to test.
#NMM UNINSTALL ALL MODS MODS#
If you're just interested in testing mods and not running through the story until you are sure your setup is solid do this:Īt the main menu screen before creating a new game. You probably want to tie a profile to a save. You will need to be careful thought because switching profiles will affect your saves.
#NMM UNINSTALL ALL MODS INSTALL#
Just install the mod's you want for each profile and switch back and forth.

One profile to test JK's Skyrim and a different profile to test Open Cities. You can create different profiles to test different things.
#NMM UNINSTALL ALL MODS MOD#
Next create a profile and begin to install mods that you would like to test with that profile by double clicking the available mod from the downloads section in MO2. Now you will have all the mods you already installed with NMM available in MO2. MO2 also has a downloads folder directory that stores the downloaded mods.Īfter installing MO2, copy all of the files from the NMM downloads folder into the MO2 downloads folder. There should be a "downloads" folder directory that NMM uses to store the downloaded mods. Even when mods are removed it can not be returned to it's former glory. It's all so distracting even in areas that I run at 90fps. Lots of stuff like grass has a kind of shimmer flicker too it and objects like trees seem to morph in and look completely different when I'm farther back. I was running at 2x supersampling and now I can barely run at 1 so things look poor. I'm seeing grass in the distance maybe 50 feet out and as I approach it fades away. I'm getting massive amount of shadow and textures popping in, I'm getting shadow flashes in my peripheral. Was running like a charm, then I got greedy. Had about 100 mods but a lot of graphical tweeks. I attempted to remove mods in nmm on my previous save but I'm getting to many weird things now. I want to be certain to have a clean slate and take my time to get things how I like before playing and risking another save file.

How can I remove all the mods, start the game completely fresh to begin using Mo2? I don't mind having to download everything again so that I can see the load orders. I want to start fresh and switch to Mod organizer 2 for ease of use load priority and the fact it does not overwrite. I did a lot of INI tweeks that I should have tested 1 at a time too. My game is now running like crap because I would do things in large groups, even back peddling everything looks bad now. I played about 45 hours of story which sucks but it's a great game I can catch up again. Added TON of other mods but in no real order and now have problems. Started to get concerned reading about the birds of skyrim and nesting birds of skyrim problems and began removing mods. I was using NMM and could not get loot to work so everything was yolo.
